CertCapture for Use Tax is an add-on module that allows tax managers to define and track outgoing exemption certificates being issued to vendors by non-tax areas such as Purchasing and Accounts Payable. You can rest assured that the correct certificates have been used and filed accurately by all departments and avoid any under-payment surprises in the future.
After selecting and activating your selected CertCapture Edition, you define certificate parameters such as locations, vendors and nexus. Previously issued certificates are then stored and available for viewing online 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
As exemption certificates are needed by purchasing or accounts payable employees, the accurate document is easily generated from our system. CertCapture will reference your pre-defined parameters to generate the correct form which can then be emailed, sent via postal service, or faxed to vendors. Simultaneously, CertCapture will store the certificate information automatically in the database. You have detailed records of when certificates were sent, the name of sender and the name of recipient.
